Kikilias: Continuous Upgrade of the Port of Piraeus

The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vasilis Kikilias, announced the continuous upgrade of the port of Piraeus in cooperation with OLP, ahead of the peak of summer coastal traffic.
According to the minister, significant actions have already been completed for the safety and upgrading of the facilities, such as the construction of shaded passenger waiting areas, new sanitary facilities, the installation of plastic bollards and recycling bins.
In addition, shelters were installed to protect against high temperatures, new seats, special railings for cars, the coolers and chemical toilets were repaired, and markings and new signs were installed.
Mr. Kikilias emphasized that these actions demonstrate the serious concern for the safety of travelers and the quality of services provided.
