Clean Monday: Excursionists' Exodus and Increased Traffic

The exodus of excursionists for the Clean Monday long weekend is underway since Friday afternoon, with increased traffic on the roads.
The Traffic Police have implemented a special plan to facilitate travelers and prevent accidents. Emergency measures include a ban on trucks over 3.5 tons on national roads.
In Attica, increased traffic is observed on the ascent of Kifissos Avenue and on the exit flow of Athens Avenue towards the Athens-Corinth national road. Significant delays are reported on the Attiki Odos highway.
The departure from KTEL Kifissos bus station also continues unabated, mainly towards Patras, where the carnival events culminate. Extra routes have been added, with 100% occupancy.
According to the Hellenic Police, the Traffic Police measures include increased police presence, enhanced policing, and special traffic controls for dangerous violations.
