GSEE: New Labor Bill Creates Unbearable Working Conditions

GSEE calls for the immediate withdrawal of articles from the new bill of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, titled "Fair Work for All", concerning the arrangement of working hours. The Confederation emphasizes that the bill establishes a 13-hour workday and other burdensome provisions for employees.

In a statement, GSEE points out that the political leadership of the Ministry of Labor did not take into account the positions of workers and other social partners, choosing to satisfy employer interests. GSEE speaks of a deliberate weakening of collective labor agreements.

GSEE emphasizes that the bill makes working conditions unbearable and weakens collective agreements, at a time when the country is facing population drain due to working conditions and pay. It calls for the immediate withdrawal of the articles concerning the arrangement of working hours and the start of social dialogue.
