Gratzia on Tempi trial: 'Conditions were unsustainable' - Waiting for Karistianou's party

Maria Gratzia, the lawyer of Maria Karistianou, speaking to OPEN, expressed her disappointment with the conditions that prevailed in the courtroom in Larissa at the start of the trial for the Tempi accident. She described the trial as a 'judicial fiasco' due to the unsuitability of the room.
Ms. Gratzia stated that she felt ashamed as a judicial officer, describing the situation as 'inhumane' and pointing out the lack of security measures and adequate ventilation. She also expressed hope that the alleged amount of 1.5 million euros for the configuration of the hall is not true, and if it is true, it should be investigated.
Regarding the establishment of a party by Maria Karistianou, Ms. Gratzia stated that she does not have a clear estimate of when this will happen, limiting herself to the phrase 'Coming soon...'.
Regarding Pavlos Marinakis' statement about political exploitation of the situation, Ms. Gratzia replied that many lawyers, even from the defense side, described the conditions as inhumane, implying that the government knew about the shortcomings from the beginning.
Ms. Gratzia concluded by saying that she is ashamed to have experienced such an experience, which one would not encounter even in a degraded state.
