Georgiadis: Complaint Regarding NGO Activity in Chios Hospital

The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, has publicized a complaint regarding members of an NGO allegedly guiding a migrant family in a hospital on Chios. According to the complaint, the NGO members intervened in a surgical clinic, despite being denied assistance, and allegedly attempted to influence the family to submit asylum applications or complaints against the Coast Guard.

Mr. Georgiadis stated that the incident has been reported to the EYP (National Intelligence Service) and emphasized that "we will not allow foreign interests to endanger our country and its unwavering decision to guard our borders."

In his post, the minister added that the NGO members falsely stated to the hospital staff that they had coordinated with the administration. Those involved were immediately removed.

Georgiadis concluded by emphasizing that rules apply in public hospitals and that health is not a field for ideological or political exploitation.
