Famellos: Mitsotakis Government Resignation, Not Reshuffle
Share on:

SYRIZA leader, Sokratis Famellos, has called on the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to resign and call elections, rather than carry out a reshuffle. This statement comes in the wake of the resignations of Makis Voridis and three deputy ministers, due to the OPEKEPE case.

Mr. Famellos accuses Mr. Mitsotakis personally for the scandals that have been revealed, including the referrals of ministers for the Tempe accident. He claims that the government is a "government of scandals and corruption" and that the prime minister himself is "personally responsible."

According to Mr. Famellos, those involved in the OPEKEPE scandal had even targeted the European Prosecutor. He believes that Mr. Mitsotakis is "completely delegitimized" and that the government's continued stay in power is detrimental to the country.
