Heated Clash Between Karanastasis and Lazaridis in Parliament

A heated clash occurred in the Hellenic Parliament between Diamantis Karanastasis, MP for Plefsis Eleftherias, and Makarios Lazaridis, parliamentary representative for New Democracy.

The confrontation began after Mr. Lazaridis referred to an attack he received from the president of Plefsis Eleftherias, Zoe Konstantopoulou. Mr. Lazaridis accused Ms. Konstantopoulou of unacceptable behavior towards journalist Tina Messaropoulou and criticized the absence of Ms. Konstantopoulou's partner from Parliament.

In response, Mr. Karanastasis called Mr. Lazaridis a "filth." Mr. Lazaridis retorted, returning the characterizations.
