Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias emphasized that the "Kimon" is a ship capable of providing strategic deterrence and upgrading the power of the Greek fleet in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean.

The welcoming ceremony took place at the Salamis Naval Base, in the presence of the Greek Prime Minister, the President of the Republic, and the Minister of National Defence.

The process of integrating the frigate into the Fleet will follow, with certifications, tests, and training.
