Greece: Farmers Propose Escalation with Tractors and 'Blackout'

Farmers in Greece are proposing a further escalation of mobilizations, ahead of the nationwide meeting of roadblocks in Malgara. Proposals on the table include bringing tractors to Athens and a general 'blackout' with road closures.
In Nikaia, Larissa, farmers are clearly advocating for escalation, considering the continuation of the struggle as the only option. A similar climate prevails in Malgara, with farmers declaring themselves ready to follow the collective decision, leaving open the possibility of dialogue with the government only if basic demands are met.
The Minister of Rural Development, Kostas Tsiaras, issued a new invitation for dialogue, while the Hellenic Police expressed hope that logic would prevail.
