The Athens Bar Association (DSA) is establishing an "Observatory for Delays and Malpractice," a digital platform for recording and analyzing problems in the operation of the courts.

The Observatory is expected to begin operating soon and will be fully compliant with GDPR legislation for the protection of personal data.

According to the president of the DSA, Andreas Koutsolampros, the Observatory aims to systematically monitor delays in the issuance of court decisions, organizational dysfunctions, and cases of malpractice.

Lawyers in Athens will be able to submit reports of incidents anonymously or under their name. A special committee will be formed to oversee the platform and evaluate the data. The data will be published via an anonymized dashboard, and an annual report with conclusions and proposals for improvement will be drawn up.

Mr. Koutsolampros stated that the Observatory will function as a tool for institutional documentation and dialogue to improve the efficiency of Justice.
