Athens Bans Gatherings Due to Zelensky Visit

Police have announced a ban on gatherings in areas of Athens, Filothei, and Chalandri on Sunday, due to the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The ban is in effect from 06:00 to 22:00 on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

According to the police, the ban is imposed for public safety reasons and to prevent disruption of socio-economic life in these areas.

The affected areas include parts of the Municipality of Athens, as well as the Municipalities of Filothei-Psychiko and Chalandri. The areas are enclosed by the streets: L. Vas. Konstantinou, L. Vas. Olgas, L. Vas. Amalias, Xenofontos, Filellinon, Pl. Syntagmatos, Stadiou, Amerikis, Lykavittou, Il. Rogkakou, Kleomenous, Ploutarchou, Rivari, L. Vas. Konstantinou and L. Kifissias, Vekiareli, Griva Digeni, 25th of March, Bizaniou, Korytsas, Benaki, Kokkoni, L. Kifissias, Agamemnonos, Ag. Varvaras, Serron, L. Kifissias.
