A heated debate took place in Parliament regarding the establishment of a pre-inquiry committee for the OPEKEPE scandal. The president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, launched an attack against New Democracy, accusing them of "manipulating institutions" and "degrading Parliament." The vote for the pre-inquiry committee is up in the air, with Androulakis warning that he will not allow ND to "debase Parliament."

Androulakis stressed that ND is trying to create a "new tradition," aiming for an "invalid vote to write off Voridis and acquit Avgenakis." He also referred to "criminal behavior of Voridis" and accused ND of a "institutional crisis."

Responding, Notis Mitarakis from ND, argued that the opposition has been in a panic since ND requested the investigation for OPEKEPE.
