Arrival of Frigate 'Kimon', the First Greek Belharra

The first Greek Belharra frigate, 'Kimon', is expected today in the Saronic Gulf, after completing trials at the Lorient shipyards. Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias announced the arrival via X, noting that the battleship 'Averof', the trireme 'Olympias' and six ships of the Fleet will welcome the ship.

Mr. Dendias, President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit the frigate 'Kimon'. The arrival of 'Kimon' in Salamina marks the first step in the renewal of the Navy. The frigates 'Nearchos' and 'Formion' will follow.
