The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AAΔE) is taking control of OPEKEPE following the recent agricultural subsidy scandal. According to a decision by the AAΔE Governor, Giorgos Pitsilis, a 17-member Task Force is being formed, which will have access to all OPEKEPE data.

This team will monitor agricultural subsidies, aiming to stop mismanagement and squandering of European funds. AAΔE will have direct access to every building infrastructure, electronic application, and information system of OPEKEPE.

Specifically, it will be able to monitor in real-time subsidy applications, the Organization's contracts with private individuals, every supporting document related to the operation of OPEKEPE, as well as the flow of funds from approval to payment of subsidies.

The Task Force will operate as a 'black box' for subsidies, compiling monthly progress reports, recording risks and problems. AAΔE officials visited OPEKEPE's offices and requested information on human resources, financial obligations, and the Organization's contracts.
