Fire in Pylaia, Thessaloniki Under Control

The fire that broke out in a forest area in Pylaia, Thessaloniki, has been brought under control. The fire started shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday (4/9).
Earlier, a message was sent from 112 to the residents of the area, urging them to remain on alert.
80 firefighters with 26 vehicles, two teams of the 2nd EMODE, 4 aircraft and 3 helicopters participated in the extinguishing operation. Construction machinery and OTA water tankers also assisted.
