Flood Protection Projects in Penteli – Hardalias' Visit

The Regional Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, visited the Municipality of Penteli, where flood protection and infrastructure upgrade projects were discussed and inspected. Projects exceeding 7 million euros, funded by the Region, are underway.

Mr. Hardalias participated in a meeting with the Mayor of Penteli, Natassa Kosmopoulou, and her associates, where issues of infrastructure, environment, and civil protection were discussed. Emphasis was placed on flood protection and sustainable management of green spaces.

He visited the upgraded "Thalossi" Park in Nea Penteli, a project with a budget of 4,328,000 euros, as well as the Tsagari Melission Park, where upgrade projects worth 1,058,000 euros are being implemented. In addition, he inspected the area of the Penteli Children's Hospital, where the construction of a rainwater collector is planned, with a budget of 1,600,000 euros.

Nikos Hardalias stated that the projects enhance the quality of life and resilience of the area. Natassa Kosmopoulou emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Region for the implementation of critical flood protection projects.
