Halkidiki: Raid on Campsite After Tourist Complaint

An operation to remove permanent structures took place at a well-known campsite in Halkidiki, following a complaint by a tourist. According to typosthes.gr, the operation took place on a beach in the area, where there were permanent structures and umbrellas.

Crews from the Municipality of Sithonia removed umbrellas and other structures. The complaint was made via a video posted by the tourist on social media.

Since mid-March, more than 11,500 complaints have been made via the MyCoast application regarding illegal occupation of beaches, with 2,443 concerning Halkidiki.
