Tzoumerka: Driver Escapes Landslide on Provincial Road

A driver narrowly escaped when a section of a provincial road in Tzoumerka collapsed due to heavy rainfall. The road surface subsided for approximately 70 meters on the Gefyriou Plakas-Agnanton-Pramanton provincial road.
According to a resident's testimony to APE-MPE, he felt the ground shaking and saw stones falling. While trying to cross the spot, the road gave way, causing his car to fall. The driver managed to escape by opening the passenger door.
The subsidence occurred at 11 a.m. Traffic has been stopped, and cars are using a detour to reach Pramanta. The Mayor of Central Tzoumerka, Christos Chasiakos, stated that the worst was avoided.
