Tragedy in Andravida: 22-Year-Old Dies After Car Accident

A 22-year-old has died following a car accident in Andravida, after 14 days of hospitalization. The accident occurred on July 22, when the car in which the young man and a friend were riding veered off course and crashed into a wall.

The 22-year-old was being treated in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital of Patras, but succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. His funeral was held on Wednesday at the Holy Church of Pammegeton Taxiarchon Andravidas.

According to reports, the two young men were returning from an afternoon swim when the accident occurred. The car, a VW Golf, was driven by a 25-year-old friend of the victim, who was slightly injured. The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.

The local community of Andravida is shocked by the loss of the young Giorgos, who was an only child.
