Thessaloniki: World War II Shell Found in Port

A World War II-era shell was discovered on the seabed of the Port of Thessaloniki. The Thessaloniki Port Authority has notified the relevant Army service to take necessary actions.
The ordnance was found during seabed research work as part of the 6th pier expansion project, approximately 600–700 meters from the shore and at a depth of about 15 meters, according to thestival.gr.
Authorities have taken action for the safe management of the shell.
