Fatal Car Accident in Vonitsa: 42-Year-Old Greek-American Dead

A tragic car accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Palaiampela, Vonitsa, resulting in the death of a 42-year-old Greek-American man.

The accident happened on the Amfilochia-Lefkada National Road when the car driven by the man veered off course, crashed into a cypress tree, and overturned. The impact was severe, and the driver was found dead.

Fire Department, Traffic Police, and EKAV ambulance services rushed to the scene. The vehicle was leased, which initially complicated the identification of the victim. The body was transferred to the Vonitsa Health Center.
