Alert at Athens Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' Due to Gas Leak

An alert has been issued at Athens International Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' due to a gas leak.

Specifically, due to a natural gas leak in the area of P1 of the airport, delays are expected in the boarding and disembarkation of travelers.

The incident occurred around 15:00. The airport administration, in cooperation with the Traffic Police, stopped traffic at the Arrivals level and the rest of the airport road network. Vehicle access is now only possible through the Departures area.
