A touching video of a horse rescue from a flood in Kastoria, Greece, has gone viral. Thomas Pagounadis, a farm owner in the Mesopotamia area, rescued his horses from the floods caused by heavy rainfall.

Mr. Pagounadis, a farrier by trade, takes the horses to the Mesopotamia forest for regular walks and treatments. When the bad weather hit the area, four horses were left in a fenced area. Seeing the situation, he decided to save them.

In the video he posted on TikTok, Mr. Pagounadis is seen crossing flooded roads to reach the horses. When he saw them, he stated: "We are nothing, nothing. We are very small in this world. What did you think, I would leave you like this? You don't leave them like that, they in the river, me in the river too."

Mr. Pagounadis reported that in some places the water reached two meters. He has been working with horses since the age of 8 and stated that the animals are his life and he would not leave them for any reason.
