Syvota: Yacht Malfunction with French Tourists Aboard

An alert was triggered at the Syvota Port Authority when a yacht flying the French flag experienced a malfunction near the port. Four foreign nationals were on board, and the rudder failure made the vessel impossible to control.

A patrol boat of the Coast Guard (ΠΛΣ) immediately rushed to the scene and safely escorted the yacht to the sea area "Zeri," where it anchored. All those on board are in good health. The 1st Port Department of Syvota of the Central Port Authority of Igoumenitsa issued a prohibition of departure until the damage is fully repaired.
