Fire in Paiania Under Control – 112 Activation

The fire that broke out in low vegetation in Paiania has been brought under control following efforts by the Fire Department. The fire started on Agias Marinas Street, near Attiki Odos.

Initially, 35 firefighters with 15 vehicles, 2 aircraft, and 2 helicopters were mobilized. Subsequently, the forces were reinforced with 167 firefighters, 4 teams of the 1st EMODE, 48 vehicles, volunteers, 4 aircraft, and 4 helicopters. Water tankers and construction machinery from the local authorities provided assistance.

Shortly before 16:30, a message was sent from 112 to the residents of Eastern Attica, urging them to remain vigilant and follow the instructions of the authorities. Traffic was interrupted at the junction of L. Palaiopanagias and the Attiki Odos bypass.
