Wildfires: Battle Against Flames in Evia, Kythira, and Messinia

Strong ground and air firefighting forces continue efforts to extinguish the wildfires that broke out yesterday in various regions of Greece.

In Evia, a resurgence occurred in the Pissonas area. Firefighting forces have surrounded the area, while aerial means are making continuous water drops. Civil Protection has advised residents of the settlement to evacuate preventively.

At the same time, firefighting forces are operating in Kythira and Polythea Messinias. The situation in Chania is improved, while there is no active front in Attica.
