Share on:

Significant damage was caused by a fire in the basement of the Agios Andreas General Hospital in Patras. The Commander of the 6th Health Region, Ilias Theodoropoulos, the deputy administrative director Panagiotis Dimopoulos, and technical service executives assessed the extent of the damage.

The scene inside the hospital is disheartening, with the fire and smoke having affected a large part of the building. The General Secretary of the Ministry of Health, following an order from the minister Adonis Georgiadis, inspected the affected clinics and a meeting with the administration followed.

In addition to the building damage, there are also significant losses in medical supplies, essential for the operation of the hospital. The fire started in the basement and spread to the warehouses, destroying a large part of the supplies.
