Oropos: Extensive damage in Kalamos due to severe weather

Severe weather phenomena have caused extensive damage in the Municipality of Oropos, with Kalamos being particularly affected. According to an announcement by the Municipality of Oropos, infrastructure has suffered serious damage, including roads, bridges, and basic services.

Many homes have been severely damaged, and damage assessment began on Friday, weather permitting. Serious problems have been identified in the Revithia stream, where two areas of Agioi Apostoloi have been cut off due to bridge collapses and road destruction.

The Mayor of Oropos, Giorgos Giasimakis, has ordered immediate assistance to residents. Deputy Mayors and municipal officials are in the area to assess the damage and provide assistance.

Serious problems have also been reported in the water supply network and other basic infrastructure.
