Milos: Two Tourists Drown at Sarakiniko Beach

A tragedy occurred in Milos when two tourists from Vietnam drowned at Sarakiniko beach.

The couple, approximately 50 years old, were part of an organized tour group. According to reports, the woman fell into the sea while taking a selfie, and her partner attempted to save her, resulting in both of them drowning.

A LIA-type vessel, a lifeguard, Coast Guard personnel, and private boats participated in the recovery operation. The Milos Port Authority coordinated the efforts despite the difficulties due to strong winds.

The port authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
