Missolonghi: Farewell to Athena Papachristou

Mourning prevailed in Missolonghi at the funeral of Athena Papachristou, the woman who in 2023 donated an ambulance to the city's EKAV.

The funeral was held at the Church of Agios Panteleimon, with many people in attendance. A wreath was sent by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Outside the church, the ambulance donated by Athena Papachristou was present, with its siren sounding in her honor.

Athena Papachristou had been honored by the former President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, for her contribution.
