"In my homeland, here in Patras, I didn't expect to see what I'm experiencing tonight. We are in Vrachneika, at one of the two fronts where the fire is raging. The fire is approaching us at this moment, the wind is turning it towards here," Maria Zaharaki said.

The journalist was warned about strong winds and a possible evacuation of the area due to the fire's advance.
