Larissa: Fire Truck Burns – Firefighters in Hospital

Firefighters were injured with burns and taken to the hospital when a fire truck burned during firefighting operations in Larissa.

The fire broke out in low vegetation in the Vathyrema area of the Municipality of Agia. Ground and air forces are operating in the area.

According to reports, the fire truck was trapped in the flames, resulting in the injury of the two firefighters. A message was sent from 112 to the residents of the area.

Initially, the fire was heading towards the villages of Neromylos and Metaxochori, but the change in wind direction turned it towards Anatoli Kissavou. Efforts are focused on preventing the fire from spreading to populated areas.
