Destructive Images in Tzoumerka After Severe Weather

Crews in Tzoumerka are battling day and night to restore the extensive damage caused by the recent severe weather. The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, visited the affected areas accompanied by the Regional Governor of Epirus, Alexandros Kahrimanis, Member of Parliament Giorgos Amyras, and the mayors of Central Tzoumerka, Christos Hasiakos, and North Tzoumerka, Nikos Vaitsis.
The damage to infrastructure is incalculable, with rivers and streams overflowing, causing destruction to the road network, water supply network, and electricity network. Restoration of the electricity network is underway, while the water supply problem remains major, as the pipelines have been severely damaged.
Priority is given to the safe movement of citizens, with approximately 60 construction machines working to clear roads and provide access to settlements and isolated areas.
