Kastoria: Wild Boar Seriously Injures Hunter

An elderly hunter was seriously injured by a wild boar near Pefkofyto, Kastoria, early this morning. The hunter, while on an excursion, encountered a herd of wild boars. One of them attacked him, causing serious injuries to his arm and leg.

The hunter's friends rushed to the scene and transported him to the General Hospital of Kastoria, where he is hospitalized and out of danger. According to ERT, the hunter was surprised by the herd of wild boars, with one of the animals attacking in an attempt to protect itself.

The injured man managed to notify his friends by telephone after the attack. Doctors at the hospital provided the necessary medical care.
