Fire in Agios Onoufrios, Magnesia – Extinguishing Operation Underway

A fire broke out in a forest area in Agios Onoufrios, Magnesia. 33 firefighters, a team of the 10th EMODE, 12 vehicles, two helicopters, and three aircraft are operating in the area. OTA water trucks are also providing assistance.

According to magnesianews.gr, residents initially tried to contain the fire with hoses, but the flames spread towards the mountain, in an area with pine trees and dry grass.

The Fire Department announced the mobilization via Twitter.
