Fire at Metropolitan Hospital: Under Control – Videos from the First Moments

The fire that broke out at the Metropolitan private clinic on Mesogeion Avenue in Holargos has been brought under control. Strong firefighting forces intervened to extinguish the blaze.
The fire started from level -1, in the engine room and boiler room area, and spread to the exterior. As a precaution, the basement, ground floor, and first three floors of the clinic were evacuated.
According to the mayor of Papagou – Holargos, Ilias Apostolopoulos, the fire started from the generators after a power outage. Patients were transferred to other areas of the clinic.

35 firefighters with 15 vehicles and 2 special vehicles participated in the extinguishing operation.
