Satellite data reveals that approximately 15,808 acres were turned to ash in Keratea and Anavyssos, according to an analysis by meteo.gr/National Observatory of Athens and the European mechanism Copernicus EMS.

Firefighting forces attempted to prevent the fire from spreading towards the Sounion National Park. Unfortunately, a 76-year-old man lost his life, and extensive damage was caused to homes and properties.

Two employees of DEDDIE were arrested in connection with the case. According to APE-MPE, the fire started from a cut cable of DEDDIE.

The mayor of Lavreotiki, Dimitris Loukas, reported that thousands of acres have been burned, with major damage in the Charvalo Kerateas and Thymari areas.
