Fire in Forest Area of Makrochori, Kastoria

A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in a forest area in the Makrochori region of Kastoria. According to the Fire Department, the fire does not threaten any residential areas.

36 firefighters, 2 teams of foot patrols, 10 vehicles, 3 aircraft, and one helicopter have been mobilized to extinguish the fire. Construction equipment from local authorities is also assisting.
