Cargo Ship Semi-Submerged off Sitia, Crete

A cargo ship, flying the flag of Sierra Leone, has semi-submerged off the coast of Sitia, in the Kypriadimadi area. The ship, named «MN Kostas», had run aground on a reef since July 24.

At the time of the incident, the ship was anchored without any passengers on board. Port authorities reported that no injuries or marine pollution have been reported.
