EYDAP: 12 Water Saving Measures for Athens Residents

Due to the ongoing drought and reduced water reserves, EYDAP is providing Athens residents with 12 simple water-saving tips. The aim is to combat water waste.

EYDAP emphasizes the importance of responsible consumption to maintain available reserves.

Inside the House:

• Avoid washing balconies with a hose.
• Repair dripping faucets.
• Turn off the tap while showering, brushing teeth, shaving, or washing dishes.
• Operate the dishwasher/washing machine only when full.
• Use water from the air conditioner to water plants.
• Prefer showers over baths.
• Replace appliances with low-consumption ones.

Outside the House:

• Use a watering can or automatic watering system.
• Avoid using a hose to wash the car.
• Water the garden in the evening.
• Choose resistant plants.
• Check plumbing for leaks.
