Maintenance Works Begin at Monastiraki Station

Maintenance work is starting on the facade of the Monastiraki station building, according to an announcement by STASY. The neoclassical building, which has been designated a listed monument, will be renovated with interventions mainly involving the maintenance and repair of the wooden doors and the painting of the facade.
The works, with a total cost of 169,850 euros, will be carried out under the supervision of the Department of Modern Monuments and Technical Works of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and are expected to be completed within 6 months.
At the same time, STASY expects in January the study on the existing structural condition of the Monastiraki station of Line 1, which will determine the future technical interventions.
