Fire Department Rescues Injured Woman on Mount Olympus

The Fire Department conducted an operation to transport a hiker who was injured on Mount Olympus. The woman suffered a leg injury in the Laimos area.

Members of the Hellenic Rescue Team initially transported her to the Petrostrunga refuge. There, personnel from the Litohoro Fire Department took her to Prionia, where an ambulance from EKAV was waiting.

Seven firefighters from the Fire Departments of Litohoro and Katerini participated in the operation.
