€150 School Supply Allowance for Students in Central Greece

For the 9th consecutive year, the Region of Central Greece is offering financial support to low-income families, providing a €150 voucher for the purchase of school supplies for first-grade elementary school students.

The “archή…ΖΩ!” initiative is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+) and is aimed at parents and guardians of students enrolled in the first grade of elementary schools and residing in the Region of Central Greece, with a family income below the poverty line.

The poverty line has been determined by ELSTAT at €6,510 per year for single-person households, increased by 50% for the spouse and each child from 14 to 24 years old, and by 30% for each child under 14 years old. By decision of the Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, this limit was increased by €2,000.

The Regional Councilor in charge of Social Welfare, Evangelos I. Hainas, stated that the Region of Central Greece is providing practical support to families for the purchase of school supplies.
