Hellenic Red Cross Responds to Zakynthos Wildfire

Teams from the Hellenic Red Cross are operating in Zakynthos, where a wildfire is raging in the areas of Lithakia, Agalas, and Koiliomenou.

Red Cross rescuers are providing first aid to firefighters and citizens with minor burns. They are also participating in evacuation operations of settlements, ensuring the safe removal of residents and animals.

In one incident, H.R.C. volunteers provided support to a patient with serious health problems until the arrival of EKAV (National Centre for Emergency Care).
