Investigation into Ambulance Incident Involving 11-Year-Old in Imeros, Rodopi

An internal investigation (EDE) is underway at the Imeros health center and the 4th Health Region regarding the ambulance that attended to an 11-year-old in Imeros, Rodopi. The investigation aims to determine whether the ambulance experienced a mechanical failure during its approach to the incident or while transporting the child to Sismanoglio Hospital in Komotini.

Reports indicate that the ambulance may have experienced a problem, with eyewitnesses claiming it needed to be pushed to start after picking up the unconscious 11-year-old. The driver, who is a military member, and the ambulance crew will be questioned.

The Rodopi Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the case, taking testimonies from those involved. Health Centers are responsible for maintaining the EKAV ambulances stationed at them.
