Dodoni and Paramythia Municipalities in State of Emergency After Earthquake

The municipality of Dodoni in the regional unit of Ioannina and the municipal unit of Paramythia in the municipality of Souli in the regional unit of Thesprotia have been declared in a state of emergency following a 5.3 Richter earthquake.

The decision was made by the General Secretary of Civil Protection, Mr. Papaefstathiou, to address the emergency needs and manage the consequences of the earthquake on March 8, 2026.

The declaration of a state of emergency allows the municipalities to submit funding requests for the restoration of damages.
