Papagou-Cholargos Municipality Protests Teacher Shortages

The Municipal Council of Papagou-Cholargos issued a unanimous resolution protesting the serious teacher shortages in the municipality's schools. The resolution, submitted by the Parents' Association, will be sent to the Ministry of Education and the Education Directorates.

According to the municipality's announcement, the Municipal Council expresses its strong concern about the teacher vacancies, despite the placement of substitute teachers. They are requesting the securing of funds for permanent hirings, the immediate coverage of vacancies in case of teacher leave, the full operation of all-day classes, and the hiring of teachers for Special Education and Parallel Support.

Furthermore, they request that the reversals of class mergers be implemented immediately and that no further mergers take place. The Municipal Council is committed to taking all necessary actions to satisfy the requests of the school community.
