Athens: Drone Records 153°C on Car Roof Amid Heatwave

A drone recorded extreme temperatures in Athens due to the heatwave. According to Up Stories, the temperature on the roof of a car in Lenorman reached 153°C, while the pavement in Omonia Square reached 70°C.

The high temperatures increase the risk of heatstroke, especially for infants, young children, and pets. It is recommended not to leave anyone inside the car, even for a few minutes.

EMY has issued an Emergency Weather Warning, predicting that high temperatures will persist in the coming days. A gradual retreat of the heatwave is expected from Monday (July 28, 2025).
