Upgrade for Skala Potamias Fishing Harbor in Thasos

An agreement has been signed between the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and the Municipality of Thasos for the upgrade of the Skala Potamias Fishing Harbor. The agreement was signed on July 26, 2025, by the Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis and the Mayor of Thasos Eleftherios Kyriakidis.

The agreement concerns the updating and maturation of the project's technical file. The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace will ensure the integrity of the file and submit a proposal to the Regional Development Program for funding through Action 4.3 'Port Infrastructure'.

Mr. Topsidis stated that the upgrade aims to develop fishing and the local economy, emphasizing the effective cooperation between the two levels of local government.
