Violanta: Village Shaken 5km Away From Explosion – Investigation at Ground Zero

New video from the village of Agnantero, 5 kilometers away from the Violanta factory, recorded the vibration from the deadly explosion. Authorities are focusing on ground zero, where a propane leak was detected.

The mother of Elena Katsarou, a victim of the explosion, reported that she had warned about the smell of propane. Members of the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes (DAEE) confiscated the propane pipe from the leak site.

A raid was conducted on the office and home of the business owner, and electronic devices and documents were seized. The owner, the safety technician, and the shift technician had been arrested and released.

Factory employees are receiving their salaries as usual, but there is uncertainty about the future.
